Lazard Closes Campbell Lutyens Deal, Launches Lazard CL Unit
Lazard completes its acquisition of Campbell Lutyens and debuts Lazard CL, positioning the combined firm as a global private capital advisory leader.
Lazard, Inc. finalized its acquisition of Campbell Lutyens on Nov. 2, 2026, the New York- and London-based financial advisory firm announced, capping a deal that was first disclosed roughly six months earlier on April 30, 2026. The completed transaction marks a significant expansion of Lazard's footprint in the private capital markets segment.
Alongside the closing, Lazard unveiled Lazard CL, a newly branded advisory unit that the firm describes as the global leader in private capital advisory. The launch signals Lazard's strategic intent to capture a larger share of a fundraising and placement advisory market that has grown substantially as institutional investors have increased allocations to private equity, infrastructure, and credit.

Campbell Lutyens had operated as an independent placement agent and secondary advisory firm with offices spanning North America, Europe, and Asia. The deal reflects a broader consolidation trend in private capital advisory, where scale and global reach have become competitive imperatives as fund managers navigate an increasingly complex fundraising environment. Lazard trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker LAZ.
